Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Grants Officer to join their team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of their grants program.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation that is committed to creating positive outcomes and working collaboratively with Aboriginal organisations, communities, and stakeholders.

As the Grants Officer, you will support the administration and coordination of the full grants lifecycle, including application assessment, grant administration, compliance, reporting, and acquittals. You will work closely with internal teams, applicants, and grant recipients to ensure processes are efficient, transparent, and aligned with program guidelines and organisational objectives.

About the Role

Reporting to the Grants Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and supporting grant processes from application through to completion, including assessment, administration, compliance, and acquittals
  • Reviewing grant applications, documentation, and financial information to support informed decision-making
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, and high-quality documentation relating to grant activities
  • Maintaining accurate records and data integrity within the grants management system
  • Supporting the development and improvement of grants policies, procedures, and processes
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including grant applicants, recipients, Aboriginal organisations, and internal teams
  • Monitoring grant outcomes, identifying risks, and contributing ideas for continuous improvement

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience or knowledge of grants management, finance, administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess information, identify issues, and provide solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment
  • A respectful and culturally capable approach, with the ability to engage sensitively with Aboriginal peoples and communities

Experience working with Aboriginal businesses or organisations will be highly regarded. A tertiary qualification in business, administration, finance, or a related discipline is desirable.
