Our client is seeking an experienced Grants Lead to join their team and play a key role in managing and delivering an impactful grants program. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled grants professional who is passionate about strong governance, community outcomes, and supporting initiatives that create meaningful impact.

About the Role

Reporting to the Grants Manager, the Grants Lead will oversee the operational delivery of the grants program, ensuring effective administration, compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement of grants processes.

You will provide leadership and guidance to a small Grants Team, supporting the effective management of workloads, complex matters, and high-quality grant outcomes. This role requires strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across communities and organisations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the administration and delivery of the grants program, including assessment, agreements, monitoring, compliance, and evaluation activities
  • Providing operational leadership to Grants Officers, including workload management, training, mentoring, and guidance on complex matters
  • Managing and improving grants systems, processes, and procedures to support efficient and consistent decision-making
  • Leading the use and administration of the grants management system
  • Ensuring accurate reporting, governance, and compliance with relevant frameworks and requirements
  • Engaging with stakeholders and supporting applicants throughout the grants process
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the grants function

About You

You will be an experienced grants professional with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a changing environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience managing grants programs and grants management systems
  • Experience leading a team and effectively managing workloads
  • Highly developed organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing contracts across the contract lifecycle, including financial accountability, compliance, and probity requirements
  • Strong professional judgement and the ability to manage complex matters
  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify improvements and innovative solutions
  • An understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people and communities in the Northern Territory

Experience in business management, financial planning and reporting, or community development approaches will be highly regarded.
