TRAINER ASSESSOR –HOSPITALITY– NT Remote Island

  • Permanent Employment Opportunity, 6 weeks annual leave plus superannuation

The Trainer & Assessor is responsible for the In particular to train and assess in the Hospitality focusing on Tourism, identified skill sets and units of competency.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

  1. Deliver training and assessment in accordance with policies and processes, ensuring compliance with RTO standards 2015, government contract requirements and customer service agreements.
  2. Undertake pre-training procedures including student enrolment, ID check, USI check, language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessments
  3. Design and develop appropriate training materials, such as course structures, session plans, training documentation, procedures and supporting resources facilitator guides, learning and assessment activities.
  4. Assist with planning, coordinating and scheduling training, and monitor and report regularly
  5. Provide input to the ongoing review and improvement of learning resources and assessments based on stakeholder feedback and Contribute to internal audit processes
  6. Contribute to quality assurance processes for learning resources and assessments.
  7. Develop and deliver other short courses, accredited and non-accredited programs as required

 

What we need you to have to be successful in this role:

 

  1. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
  2. Evidence of current industry skills and knowledge
  3. Evidence of recent and relevant professional development in VET
  4. Experience designing and delivering education and training programs for Indigenous adults for whom English is not a first language and literacy and numeracy skills are low
  5. Demonstrated ability to apply adult learning principles, creativity and innovation
  6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  7. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  8. Current Manual driver's licence (or ability to obtain)

 

Desirable

1. Experience or the ability and willingness to live in a remote area community

2. Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal

3. VETtrak SMS

4.Current First aid

5. Experience in Tourism
