We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established utilities organisation in the Northern Territory with responsibility for essential services across the region. This is an opportunity to join a small, multi-skilled metering team that plays a vital role in ensuring accurate data provision to electricity and water retailers.
The Meter Data Provision Officer is responsible for the scheduling, processing and quality assurance of meter reading activities across the NT region. You will ensure cyclic and special reads are completed on time, customer meter data is accurately maintained, and high-quality client service is delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage meter reading for the NT region, including de-energisation and re-energisation of customers, ensuring meter details and data are accurately maintained in computer systems
- Meet deadlines for non-cyclic activities including re-energising and de-energising power, special reads and ancillary services; manage exceptions and on-time schedule maintenance
- Deliver a high standard of customer service by responding promptly to service requests, queries, complaints, investigations and support for team members and contract field staff
- Report suspected meter tampering, hazardous installations, access problems or unbilled meters, and enter read, meter data and fees to meet strict deadlines
- Participate in the review, development and implementation of metering services procedures and policies to support organisational goals and objectives
