About the Role:

This role provides administrative support across governance and council nomination processes, including vacancies, petitions, community meeting coordination and governance record management. The successful candidate will be required to engage professionally with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including remote Aboriginal communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating governance and nomination administration processes
  • Managing records, registers and confidential documentation
  • Organising travel, accommodation and logistics for community meetings
  • Preparing reports, submissions and correspondence
  • Monitoring and responding to governance enquiries via phone and inbox
  • Supporting police check coordination and compliance processes

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Strong administrative and organisational experience in a fast-paced environment
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and corporate systems
  • The ability to work respectfully and effectively across diverse cultural environments

Please note this role involves regular travel to remote areas, including travel by manual 4WD vehicle and light aircraft. Candidates must hold a current NT C Class Driver’s Licence and be comfortable undertaking remote travel as required.

Experience in governance, compliance, records management or working within Aboriginal organisations or government environments will be highly regarded.
