Human Resource Manager – Darwin, NT

The HRM will lead the development/delivery of high-quality HR services supporting strategic goals and promote a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. Implementation of best practice HR strategies that enhance staff performance, engagement, and wellbeing. Working closely with the CEO/Management building organisational culture and workforce capability.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic HR leadership to support organisational

development and staff satisfaction.

➢ Lead the development, implementation, and review of HR

policies/procedures, and systems in consultation with CEO.

➢ Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction including employment contracts.

➢ Collaborate with senior management in IR, including negotiation of employment conditions/remuneration with unions and staff.

➢ Support strategic workforce planning and participate as a key member of the Senior Management Team.

➢ Design and manage performance management

systems and guide managers in staff appraisal

processes.

Selection Criteria

Applicants MUST possess the following:

-Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Employee Relations or a related field, or extensive equivalent experience (minimum 10 years).

-A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience preparing high-quality written and verbal communications, including contracts, reports, and HR policies.

-Strong organisational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex issues.

-Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment processes.

-Sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal cultures and the social and employment challenges facing Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MYOB, and HR database systems.

-Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying awards, enterprise agreements, and employment legislation.

-Demonstrated experience in on-boarding HRIS systems

It would be considered an advantage if applicants also possess:

1 Identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

2 Experience in leading change and organisational transformation initiatives
